Recently I purchased a SolidGoldFX Surf Rider Deluxe Reverb pedal and using it with my KT-45, My Jazzmaster and a 2x12 w/ Golds just sounds so perfect for surf. Anybody else use their Katie for surf music?

OK update: I have a Z-Verb incoming and I bet the KT-45 with all it's cleanliness and Fender friendly vibe along with the Z-Verb will be killer with my Jags and Jazzmaster...whaddya say?
SolidGold Surf Rider Deluxe was far and away the best pedal reverb I've used and if I didn't order a Dr. Z V-Verb I would have kept it. The only other unit is was interested in was the Billy Zoom Little Kahuna Reverb and Tremolo.

That sounds sweet. I would assume the same thing about the combo. All you'll need is a new pair of flip flops and some board shorts dude....and a sign to hang up that says "Gettin' Tubed today !"

I don't use my KT for surf.......
But I am going to now !!!! Should be a great platform. I bet Man or Astroman sounds like a rip tide slam crash boom!

I just got a Z-Verb (today) haven't had a chance to try it yet (tomorrow).I powered it up to see if it works but that is it. (I also have a Z28 incoming on Monday) but I think the KT-45 is a great surf amp and will be a killer combo with the Z-Verb.

My M12 does some really nice clean surf tones as well (especially with the Z-Verb) very similar to the KT-45 but obviously not as loud. Both are in my opinion excellent platforms for instrumental surf.
Now I'm rocking a Z-Best 2x12 and have a Z-Convertible 1x12 incoming!
Lately I've been on an offset kick: modding my Squier VM Jaguar to Johnny Marr Jag specs: (4-way switch, serial mod, unniversal bright and serial bright slide switches, etc, etc. I also have a Johnny Marr jag but swapped the low-powered Bare Knuckles out for some Vintage Pure '65 Jag pickups. I also modded my Squier Bass VI with Joe Barden Jag style pickups...waiting to get that one back from my tech buddy. I love the Staytrem bridges and tremolo arm assemblies they make a world of difference.

I didn't use my old KT45 for surf but I can imagine it. I think it would be an excellent choice. I don't know those reverb pedals but I hope they emulate a spring reverb. There are great reverb pedals out there that don't sound like a classic spring reverb. One of them is the Wet reverb. It's absolutely beautiful but not a spring sound. (Nor is it trying to be.) Another great Z product for surf is the EZG-50 amp.

I use my KT45 for everything from cleanish 60s rock (including surf)to harder rock and overdriven blues stuff. It just slays at every style of music I play. I recently paired up a Keeley 30MS set on the "Abbey" setting with my rig, and it made it just all the sweeter than it already was...
