I have a remedy and a 2x12 with greenbacks. I'm interested in getting an antidote. A rep told me that he didn't think a creamback or my 2x12 greenbacks could handle the antidote amp at louder levels. Any thought or experiences? At max I'll run my remedy @ 2 or 3 with one volume and 9-10 on the other.

I don't think you'd have a problem with two greenbacks - an SRZ 65 won't blow up two greenbacks and it's 65 Doc watts. I'm thinking that a cream back 12-65 should be able to handle it own it's own.

Thanks Mike. That's what I was thinking. I'm interested in the antidote as it seems a little smoother on the high end and overall and more versatile. I've been researching some speakers that may give me some smooth mid-high end. Any thoughts? I have the greenbacks and am thinking about creambacks or scumback 55 or 75.

A large portion of the Dave Baker demo of the Antidote, which you can find on the Dr. Z site, was done through two greenbacks. In fact I believe it was Doc's favorite configuration for the Antidote. You will be fine with either a Creamback or a pair of Greenbacks.

Another option is to look at the WGS equivalent to a Greenback or Creamback (Green Beret and Invader 50). Good speakers at about half the price of a Celestion, and they're made in the USA! Here's a link to their British voiced speakers: wgs4.com/catalog/british-invasion
