just wondering how often a used ezg 50 comes up for sale. I havent found one yet used. tons of others always available used but the 50 seems to be rare to find used. is there a reason for this? because most owners are extremely happy with it? or just not a lot of people buying this particular amp? I want one bad, but trying to find a used model is difficult

They pop up now and then, but yeah--not that often, certainly not as compared to Mazzes, Ghias, Monzas, etc. The EZG is Doc's second most expensive amp, after the Wreck, so I suspect there just aren't as many units floating around. I'll be looking to buy one, too, in the next few months. Will probably have to buy new, since I wants me a RED one.

It's a waiting game. The EZG is a special amp. If you have the time and patience, wait for a used one. It you need it now but can't afford a new one and there are no used EZG's for sale... try one of these:
1970's Fender Bandmaster Reverb (head) 1970's Fender Super Reverb (4x10 combo) 1970's Fender Bassman Ten (4x10 combo)
These will get you in the tonal ballpark and can be had for as little as $400 in some cases
Good luck

I waited for mine and found it on Ebay. I made a best offer and it went back and forth a couple of times and finally got one. My very first Z was a Monza ( I miss it) but since that very first day I wanted an EZG but it did not come till about 2 months ago
