and try something else--an Antidote or an EZG or maybe a Route--you plug in your Collings 290 and a Jetter Jet Drive and whoa, mama--it pulls you back in. Awesome amp.

I concur. I let my first one go, but got back into the Remedy fold a few weeks ago. Glad I did!

Howdy KC - It's got them. I've been looking for one for awhile. It popped up on TGP so I grabbed it pretty quick. Mike's a member here too.
I've got to work on dialing it in but so far I've just plugged it into the Zbest and cranked it. I've got 2 non-Z 1x12 cabs that I need to sell so I can get a Z 1x12. I think that's going to be the way to go. Z cab are heavy but I'm not playing out alot with the new band . . yet.

Congrats! The Z 1x12 cab isn't heavy. , so you should have no worries there. Now a Z Best, that's a different story .........

I had mine up for sale and decided to keep mine as well. I ended up going back to my favorite amp of all time the Fender Vibro King. It just works better for me in Church.
I been using it as my main amp now. I found a 1993 VK and whoever had it modded it with a Master volume in the back. That was a huge plus for me when I bought it, I had no idea it had the Master volume until it arrived at my home.
I had several of these Vibro Kings in the 90's and this is my first one that had the EL84 tube driver for the reverb. Out of all the ones I had before this one sounds the best. I went back and forth between these two amps and the remedy holds it own with the VK. They both have great cleans and can pretty much cover it all. The only thing that for me that really the VK has on the remedy is that killer reverb it really massages the tone. The 3 10 speaker configeration also is what makes the VK special and unique IMHO. It produces a wider fuller sound to me than the 1/12 cab. For the record I tried the Z 4-10 Cab and prefered the 1/12 cab with the remedy it just works better for me. I will hold on to my remedy and use it as my back up amp. I figure when I want to straight up rock I got my Rem! Its the best Marshall plexi type amp around no doubt about it.

Well--I did end up selling the Rem, which (who knows?) I may live to regret. There was something about the top end of the Rem I just couldn't bond with, once you got past about 9:30 on the "High" loudness control. Someone here described it as "sizzle"--which I think is just the right word--a treble quality that lots of people like a LOT, and which certainly isn't a bad thing to my ear, but just not the kind of ringing treble tone I was after (think SRV hitting that *stang* note on the high E string). I've got it now in spades with the EZG, which I suspect will be my BIG amp for at least the next few years.

Well if you're after that STANG, then you couldn't have picked a better amp than the EZG50! Enjoy!

Thanks, Pete! I came close to keeping them both, but couldn't quite swing it. I think of the Marshall-sque Zs, the next one for me will be the Antidote. I'd love to try out a Route 66, too... I'm hooked! Hooked, I tells ya!

Right? He could also score me some excellent weed, while we're at it.

If someone offered the the right price I would more then likely sell mine as well.
