I really love this amp. It is perfect for hitting the local jams. It is relatively light and has a small footprint. I can set it up for clean or dirty. Thanks Dr Z!

Played my combo with a blue and a extension cabinet with a blue last night. A small room but the Maz 8 handled it nicely. Had to keep up with the drummer and bass players 400 watts with 2 cabinets. I love this amp. Should have had something like this a long time ago.

I just jammed today with mine!
Two guitars, keys, bass and a drummer, it cut through nicely. I used it on the same setting that I had it on at home! A lot quieter band than I'd been used to, that's a good thing though.
I'm running a head though, through a 2x12 with a WGS Reaper and a Veteran 30, sounded wonderful! I had a few comments on the tone, I was pleased.

Got a lot of time on mine today. Just playing at home. Triode mode and eq bypass. BL on 3 and still getting a lot of volume. I did have Vol knob and Master up quite high. It was a glorious sound paired up with the Nash Tele.
I was playing a very nice Fargen custom amp before that. I mean really a nice amp. But the MAZ was just better sounding to me.

Hi Stephen, Don here.
How do you like the Maz 8 compared to your 18 NR? I'm interested in the 8 and loved it in the store (it sounds like my Maz Jr) but I'm leery of small amp syndrome - not enough headroom.
Happy Thanksgiving btw!

If I'm going to a jam in a small room, I take the Maz 8. If I'm playing a gig, I will use my Maz 18 and Z-Verb.
The Maz 8 doesn't have as much headroom as the Maz 18, but will it clean up at lower guitar volume.
I use the EQ Bypass with a Boss FS-5 switch for solos. I use a Brake Lite on both.
