The indicator light on my Remedy stopped working.
I assumed it was just a blown out lamp, but when I tried to unscrew the jewel covering the whole lamp assembly seemed to turn. That is, both the jewel and the nut around it turned.
I know that indicator lights are usually wired to the main AC input, so I don't want to casually poke around in there. On the other hand, I hate to send the amp in for service for something like this.
Has anyone had any experience with this phenomenon?

There is a nut behind the faceplate (inside the chassis) that holds it on. You will have to open the amp up in order to tighten it.

Be careful what you touch in there!!! The filter capacitors store enough DC voltage to kill you. Unplug A/C, of course. Then just fix the loose nut without touching any solder joints or unshielded wires. Be sure to really tighten the chassis bolts securely upon re-assembly....

Thanks, Lefty and maddog.
I know how to discharge the big caps. I'll take a look today.
