My brand new remedy just died on me. It was powered up and all of a sudden just shut off. It won't power back up. I have never had any amp do this.

Crazy thing it just shut off. I waited a few minutes and it finally did turn back on and appears to be working fine.

Died as in no pilot light? Or light on and no sound?
No light=check the power cable and make sure it's seated firmly.
Light and no sound=suspect tubes.

Checked the cables and power supply and everything was plugged firmly in. Its working fine now. Hopefully it will not die on me tomorrow at church.

How did it do at church? The MV had to be tremendous. Tremendous ,phenomenal, Stellar,Wonderful, Awesome, Amazing, ECT.. Im just plugging straight in no effects and getting some of the best tone ever! The MV really has changed the game for me. I still use my board occasionally but now don't rely on it. Another cool thing about the tone bypass is how it can bump up your overdrive pedals when you are using your effects. It adds a really nice sparkle to your overdrive pedals. All went well yesterday no problems thank God.

Nice Review! I'm now saving all my GAS money and selling stuff for an order of a new Remedy. Have you figured out what's the cause on why it wasn't powering the other day?

Hey Rev, looks like I'll have mine next week. Our music director at church has been asking me about more higher gain saturation type sounds and I'm hoping that this is the amp. I loved what my Monza did for me but I really needed to run two amps with the Monza, one clean and one gained up! I'm glad to hear your Rem played nice at church, can't wait!! God bless, Todd

No I have no idea what caused that. It is working fine now. I have been playing it all week and no problems. You will love the new remedy it really is much more versatile now with the MV and tone bypass. Its a well built high quality amp no need to worry and the Doc stands behind his products. I didn't contact him about it since it seems to be working fine. No worries.

I loved what my Monza did for me but I really needed to run two amps with the Monza, one clean and one gained up! I'm glad to hear your Rem played nice at church, can't wait!! God bless, Todd I love the remedy for clean and slightly broken up tone and it nails the 70's rock stuff. I would not consider it a high gain saturation at all unless you are using a pedal that is voiced for that type of sound. If you are using the Remedy/ Monza and setting the remedy up for clean tones and crunch and the Monza for the heavystuff you will def be a happy camper and your music director will love it as well. You actually could get by with just the remedy and a high gain pedal. Just set the remedy up clean. Use your pedals for the high gain stuff. Thats typically what I do I stack my animal and Catalinbread DLS with my fuzz My typical settings are MV 2-to all the way up (making it stock remedy) B 10 M 12 T 1 high V 10 Low V 10 Once in a while I push the High and low volume past 2 but really not to much I play pretty clean.

I must say I have never had a problem like this on an amp. Won't power-up then 15 minutes later will power up, work fine for two weeks then not power up.
I can only hope it is solid broke now and won't power up , much easier to fix. If it is working not working it may take some time to nail the problem. I'm thinking loose IEC connector , bad power cord, or fuse holder, but we'll see.

When it comes back on it comes back on real slow. Almost like feint then increasing in volume. At first when I tried to turn it back on nothing no light no power. I waited about a few seconds and it finally restarted. Its not the chord thats for sure. I tried both my chords with it I been using the one for my Ghia because its shorter. I have never had a problem with any amp like this.

Like the Doc said...try a different power cord for a while before sending it in? Thanks John, I already have been using my power chord for my ghia. Its done it with both power chords so thats why I rulled the power chord out. Its strange that is for sure I never had a amp just shut down like this then just come back on and work fine like ther is nothing wrong with it. We are working it all out right now thanks .

Good luck with it Rev........ sounds like an IEC socket failure (broken or loose connection - certainly main voltage issue if everything goes out!) I'm sure the DrZ team will have it up and running in no time, and then you tell us more stories of just how GREAT it sounds

My Remedy did the exact same thing. It turned out to be the fuse socket. I didn't replace it, I just unplugged it all and I tweaked the contact points for both ends to be tighter. That was in 2009 and it's still working fine.
