Hi. I've owned my MAZ 38R for about 3 months now. The one thing I've noticed so far is I cannot seem to get the bass knob past 8:30-9 without having a "boomy" sound come from my cab. It really only seems to happen when I hit the low E string or the octave on the A string, seventh fret. I've plugged into different cabs in all sorts of rooms. The only complaint I get from sound guys is about the bass being too much. I've even tried an open back 1x12 on an amp stand...and still TOO much bass. Has anyone else experienced the same peoblems? Any solutions would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure what to suggest here, except that the tone controls on the Maz are definitely interactive, so turning up the middle, treble and cut will probably produce an apparent drop in bass. I know that several players here never set the bass above 9 o' clock anyway. I used to be the same, but these days they're all around 11. It depends a lot on what speakers you use, but you say you've tried a variety, so could it be the way your guitar is set up?
