Has anyone tried the Creamback with this amp? Wondering how it would sound in an open back cab. Just curious I suppose.

Haven't played through a Creamback, yet,... but I'm curious as well.
I know some have compared the Creamback favorably to the Gold and/or Blue, and I really like my KT w/ a Gold.

My KT is sitting on a Z shorty open back 1x12 with a Gold currently. Thinking a Creamback will be my next gear purchase.

I'm using my dual KT45s (with the black Z logo, for extra mojo) primarily through an open back 2x12 birch cab with Creambacks. Sounds fantastic. My other choices are a 1x12 with an Eminence V1216 or a 1x12 with an Eminence Swamp Thang. However, in my opinion, the Celestions really deliver the goods whereas the Eminence speakers always sound like something's missing, or they sound "cheap" after I plug in the Celestions and do an A/B comparison.
I also have a 2x12 with Greenbacks, but I don't like to use that cab because it's only rated at 50 watts, and I do believe the KT45 will push 70 watts when it is cranking... Probably safe, but the Creambacks sound just as good if not better.

To me, the creamback sounds like a greenback and a gold had a wild night together and 9 mos later out comes the creamback. Good low end, but not boomy. Lush mids and sparkly highs without being shrill. All at only 97 db...
