I know the Doc has a cab in mind for the new SRZ. I'm guessing a 2x12, which will be my first Z cab with 12's. I figure perfect for a "British" style amp. Here's my thoughts...are you listening Doc? A standard Z 2x12 cab in black tolex and red front (just like the SRZ) and his special red/black cloth, now for the kicker...make it an open back with a removable center panel for either open or closed back option. I used to have an Ampeg cab back in the day that you could do that with and it was very cool. Just a thought. I figure since we've got a LTD amp why not a special cab to go with?

Remember Zane? I had his brother build me one of his retro 'split front' 1x12 cabs in red with an 'optional' center back panel that I can put in an out. Also had parallel inputs so I can stack it on my Z Best when so inclined. Works good.

I also modified a River 1x12 combo (which utilizes a closed back design) so it could be open back as well

I'm with you Lefty...this amp deserves its own cab! Ideally, Greenbacks or Emi Private Jacks (higher wattage capability). I like the idea of the Private Jacks as they're part of the Red Coat series and red speakers inside the cab would be just that much cooler! I've been searching for a cab to go with this head and have been leaning towards the Avatar cabs loaded with Emi's, but would really like a Z LE cab.

I have PJ's in my Zbest and they sounded fantastic with the SRZ I used to have. I always wanted to try out a 4x12 with greenies with SRZ though...

I heard Duane Allman used JBLs with his Marshalls....maybe they'd be a good match for the SRZ as well?

One thing is for sure, Doc will do his homework and find the perfect speakers for the cab to match the Limited Edition SRZ-65, just as he did with the Celestion combination in the Z Best. The man knows tone and what works best.
