I just purchased a z verb for my z wreck and am just wondering if there is any way to have your verb sitting on top of your wreck, in the paisley vid he clearly has his sitting on top of the wreck, but when i do it theres a brutal hum until you move it off, is there anyway around this?

I have read the posts about Z-Verbs and hum when placed on top of an amp. I have one on top of my Stangray head and one on top of my Soldano Hot Rod 25 head and no hum from either.......maybe I am just lucky??? The Soldano is a very high gain amp......I better stop writing before I jinx myself I am using George L cables also.

rub it in why dontcha lol jks, there has to be a way to get it to stop, i found if i put my zwreck on top of the verb the hum goes away but it looks stupid and its not very sturdy, but when i put the verb on top of the wreck theres a brutal hum? i wouldn't have payed the extra 300 dollars for the matching verb for the wreck if i knew it was just going to have put it on the floor and not be able to stack it. Any other ideas?

Is it possible that the shielding got left out of one of those cabs? Have you checked w Z or your dealer?

Is it possible that the shielding got left out of one of those cabs? Have you checked w Z or your dealer? Anything is possible. An easy way to find out is to take the chassis out of the cab.

I talk to DR Z when I first received mine as the hum was unbearable. I too assumed that if it worked in the reviews it should work for me. The response was the transformers in both are large and if the are too close it is usually unavoidable. That also explains why no hum when on some of the other amps. Still looks great with matching front beside the cab!

Did you try a ground lift plug on the Z-Verb?
