I have a 50 watt bluedog alnico and I just ordered a 50 W ceramic silverbell. I am hoping that this combo gives me the best of both "magnet worlds" in my z best. Anyone try this combo?

Close. I have a 30 watt Alnico Blue Dog paired with a Celestion G12H30 in an open back Avatar 2x12.
I like it a lot. I get the chime and compression of the Blue Dog, with the ceramic punch and bottom end of the G12H30.
I expect I would like either version of the Silver Bell. I'm very impressed with Mr Weber's speakers.

I have a 30 watt Alnico Silver Bell and G12H30 in my Zbest. Great tones, but I'd love to try out the 50 watt ceramic Silver Bell someday.

Cool.............Yeah, I am gonna see if the blue/g12h30 combo sounds good and compare that with the blue/silver combo. I am hoping the blue/g12h works and I can use the silver in my 1x 12 cab.

I'm diggin my 1 x12 alnico blue and a 1 x 12 alnico silver both 30 watt no dope open back cab (small Mesa Boogie). They sound great buy themselves or together. I am pushing them with a Maz 38 but have not gigged them. My studio does not allow me to turn up much do to the ear ringing thing. I combined a ceramic Tone Tubby and a Celestion Vintage 30 in a 2 x 12 THD 3/4 closed back cab and am blown away by its performance, a total surprise I was not expecting. It's weird because after a couple of days working back between these speakers I no longer like the sound of my ceramic Tone Tubby. But I suspect that is just a matter of tweak'age. Man you change one thing in the signal path and there are surprising repercussions.

Just to clarify, are you saying you do like the ceramic TT in your THD 212 with the V30, but don't like the ceramic TT alone? Or are you saying something else? Cheers, Blair
