Here is a video of James playing the Antidote at the MiniZfest last June. Enjoy!

That amp has a very definite voice - I've heard 3 very different people playing it now, and it still has the same tone. It has a real punchy edge to it - VERY cool!

I'm eager to hear it for myself. Audio compression on web videos seems to suppress a lot of mojo.

make sure to set the video playback to 1080... fills out the tone a bit better than low rez.

seems like most drz's have the same honk, compressed sound to them. Not all that open. Maybe I like EL34's

Maybe I like EL34's Interesting view point - I've never thought of DrZ amps as having a compressed "honk" to them in general. I guess the Carmen Ghia can get pretty compressed when cranked, and the Maz range. Come to think about it, the EL84 amps will go that way. The only "honk" on a Z amp I've come across has been a Z28 through the "wrong" speaker, in my case a Red Fang, otherwise I find my Z28 incredibly open in tone. If you like EL34s, maybe the SRZ65 is the DrZ amp for you?

I think the sound i like is the glassines of a plexi. The z ive heard sound a little muffled maybe theyre voiced bluesy or warm. Although i did see a zwreck video that was pretty gnarly

Not sure about you guys, but I can always tell exactly how an amp sounds and feels from a YouTube video.

Not sure about you guys, but I can always tell exactly how an amp sounds and feels from a YouTube video. Then why does DrZ or anyone bother to post them? Video's are dependent on what you the viewer has for listening: I hear far more with a good set of phones then I do with Monitor speakers-Although they are getting better: IMO what is missing alot from the video is the percussive feel you get when actually there. Otherwise I think the Vids Dave is doing are really close. Honk is an open ended word: Honk like what A car a duck or geese? Just guessing but I'd bet if you hooked up a good pair of speakers you'd hear the difference: You also have to keep in-mind that head-phones or PC speakers aren't going to give you the actual vibe of AMP speakers_ The idea of the video's is to give you an idea of the range: I do envy the guys who live near Humbucker or one of the other Larger dealers: Since I have to home shop I invested in a good set of head phones-Like right now I can hear the Bottom of the Ray in the video above very clear: A $9.99 set of PC speakers are going to fall short of reality: Just sayin
