Fellow forum bro Sean lent me one of his BLs to use with my Ghia for our show last night. I kept it on 2 the whole time. Oddly enough Sean was unaware I used it until after the show. I didn't feel as loud and snappy as I usually do without the BL. In my home rehearsals I noticed that using it with my fuzz made a brown sound that wasn't what I was tonally aiming for. I removed that pedal from my board for that reason. In my experience the BL darkens the overall tone of stomps in front of the amp. The clean signal was fine. I may try it again at our next gig in a few weeks. I was able to get very OD'en sounds with my Riot and the Ghia at very low to me volumes. That was key b/c in last night's space we had little room to breathe let alone crank up.

hmmmm Sounds like a mixed experience. It is a tool to use for venue size maybe and less for tonal pleasuring...

^^^^^I agree with that statement. There's still a good tone you can get with the BL if you adjust your stomps to compliment the frequency shift.
