I'm looking to swap out the V30 and G12H30 that are in there now.... cab is at 8 ohms now, would want to keep it wired the same. Two 16ohm in parallel would be 8 right? Or two 4 ohm in series? Or am I just lost and confused? HELP!!

They vary, mine was a 4 ohm cab, you'll need to open it up or ohm it out at the jack.

It's marked as an 8 ohm... I just need to know what my options are when I get new ones. I can always do 2 8 ohm in parallel and bring it down to 4 too.

You won't be able to find 4 ohm guitar speakers. If I was going to buy speakers I'd get 8 ohm's and wire them to 16 ohm.

yeah but the Maz Jr. head doesn't have a 16 ohm tap... I know I can mismatch at 8-16 is safe. I guess a 16 ohm cabinet would work with pretty much anything I can find though. I always thought that in order to have the amp perform at it's optimum it was best to use matched imp cabs. Urban myth?

If it doesn't have a 16 tap then wire for 4 ohms or get two 16 ohm speakers and wire for 8 ohms. You'll get the most and best sound if you match the impedances to the amp be they 4 or 8.
