Anyone know what impedance the Z 10's are? I *think* they are 16ohm each but I could be wrong.

16 ohm is correct. the 2-10 cab is 8 ohms.

I just posted a reply on a related topic, and this may be my answer. But to clarify, if I wire each speaker separate for stereo, do I use a 16 ohm tap from the power amp. I have a Mesa 20/20, and now that I think of it, I don't think there is a 16 ohm tap. In that case, what will be the results if I use 8 ohms...is that OK?

You want to run a 16 ohm speaker on the 8 ohm tap of the Mesa? If so it won't hurt the amp at all. You'll lose a little volume because of the mismatch but not like if it was a solidstate amp. To be sure I'd check with Boogie. I don't know much about their stuff in particular but that's how it would work with normal tube amps. If anything your tubes won't be working as hard so they might last longer but it also might not sound as good as a proper impedance match would.

Thanks...I just called Mesa support and they are off Fridays...must be nice! I'll be doing this over the weekend so I'll just go ahead and try the 8 ohm tap and see if it loses anything. I'll still call them on Monday and see what they have to say.
There is a section in the 20/20 manual (avaliable on their site) that explains how to run various speaker/ohm configurations. But honestly, it makes almost no sense. Now I'm in computer programming and manage a S/W development group, so I'm not totally dense, but I tell you the way they are describing how to use the various taps does not make sense.
Othewise I REALLY like my Triaxis and 20/20, and the other documentation is pretty good. I also like the 2x10 cab quite a bit. I just always wanted to run stereo, and didn't want to deal with (or need) two cabs. We'll see...
Thanks for your help!
