My Z Wreck just died. All the tubes light up and glow and look normal through the back "cage", but when I flip the standby switch, no sound whatsoever comes outta the speaker cab (yes, it's plugged in). Gonna open her up today and swap some tubes, see what the skinny is. Whadya think?

Assuming you have already done troubleshooting on all of your cables, guitar, speakers, etc.:
First bet is the rectifier.
Second bet is a power tube.
Be sure to use the correct fuse when you replace it.

Jokingly: I bet that it is a lost cause, and that you should simply ship it off to me. Heck, I'll even pay the shipping for ya Nice guy, I know. Seriously: +1 on the rectifier tube.

If the power light does not glow it is a fuse. Probably indicative of a tube problem.
If the light glows it is the rectifier and/or output tubes

Well .....of course Steve was right. Was the rectifier, changed it out and all worries about shipping this baby up to Ohio went out the door, cranked right up and rocked. Oddly enough, in all my years and all the amps I've owned, this is the first time I can remember having to replace a rectifier!
Didn't get around to fixing this thing for a couple weeks there, so I had a real good chance to play the Remedy a bunch. Jeez, that Rem is a great sounding amp. If I ever had to get down to one, I'm thinking that's the one. Just does it all. Best sounding distortion of any amp I've owned.
Anyway, glad we didn't actually bet on this one, you guys are too sharp and woulda taken my money.
