Good evening,
So I powered up my Maz yesterday and after 8 or 10 minutes of warming up, the amp shuts off. The 2Amp fuse blew.
Today, I got a pack of slow blow replacement fuses and installed one. Amp turned on and with in 10 seconds, amp shuts off & fuse is blown again.
I know that fuses shouldn't go out for no reason and after looking through the forum understand I may need to replace the rectifier tube.
Any other thoughts suggestions? Thank you!
P.S. I have resigned to using my ampeg in the mean time, but sure do miss my Z!

Rectifier tube would be my first thing to try, if the fuse still blows....then time to send it to the Doc. Others are probably more authoritative than I am...however this is my take.

Perhaps I should add the amp is a 2009 and have only changed the EL84's, all other tubes are stock.

First one to try is the rectifier. If that doesn't do the trick, then the power tubes. Be sure you get a matched set.

I replaced the rectifier tube and presto, it's fixed! All is well in the world. Thanks again!
