OK, i have had the M12 long enough now to do about 10 gigs on it. In that time i have used it for everything from squeaky clean to downright nasty (stopped short of true metal tone).
I am really finding that Docs goal of having a clean pedal platform that can produce what you need at any given time is very true with this amp.
was using the tele a few nights ago and had it set up clean with a little slapback. classic country tones abounded. without touching the amp, i kicked on a couple of different pedals and i was in hard rock land.
it finally occurred to me that the amp is much like an artists pallet. your art is only as limited as your imagination!
thanks Doc for creating this amazing little amp that is capable of doing so many different things. I have loved my 4 Maz Jr's, the CG and my RT 66, but the M12 may be the best of the bunch in terms of versatility. I no longer even consider taking more than one amp to a gig now (backup excepted!).

Agreed. I've owned a few Zs myself and dozens more, all great-quality amps. This has been literally the first instant satisfaction amp for me. Usually when I get a new amp, I'm all excited until I gig and then I get a little buyer's remorse and start looking for the next amp. Not with the M12. Interestingly, at only 12 watts it's also the only amp that doesn't make me want to turn up the volume over and over throughout the gig. Seems to hit my ears and sit in the mix just right.
