I have the stock M12 combo and I'm loving the Greenback, even though I hated Greenbacks with my previous amp (65 Amps Ventura). The Ventura sounded great with a G12H. Has anyone tried putting the G12H in the combo? If so, how would you compare the two? I've always found Greenbacks more crunchy and midrange-focused, and I'm wondering if the G12H would give a fuller sound.

I am using it with the "Heritage" G12H30, and like it a Lot, better than my prized Heriatge Greenbacks
The Heritage series seem warmer/smoother to me
The regular G12H30 always seemed to the brighter, pingier side, almost strident. Then again, I'm not sure I ever played a well broken in one.
Wouldn't be my first choice with this amp Favoring warmer speakers with this amp

I just tried a broken in G12H30, the regular one, last night. I agree with Ricks description of it.
So far my fav is the WSG Blackhawk HP, a bit more American flavored sound, sort of? followed by the Celestion Gold for a British sound.

Thanks...I've always wondered if the Heritage speakers were worth the extra $$$.

My M12 is a combo with a greenie.... I have bypassed the greenie and used my 1 x 12 Z convertible cab (open) with the G12H30. Was too "in yer face" for me. Highs were a little biting, and the mids seemed weak. Bass tho was an improvement.
Solution: running both the greenie and the G12H30 in paralled and using the 4 ohm option. Huge, well-rounded sound. The H30 doesn't overpower the greenie either as I feared.......Also looks cool stacked.

The M12 sounded pretty good through a Z best also!
