I haven't used reverb in years. I've been using delay in its place. Other than looking cool on top of a matching z wreck , is it worth it.

I love the sound of my Fender stand-alone, but I always use delay for live playing....it seems to me that reverb works better for clean tones, but not so much for overdrive/distortion. I'd say that a lot depends on what kind of music you're playing.

There's one on e-bay right now for $250 - you can't get a good reverb pedal for that! And they sound great!

I'm waiting my zverb finish zwreck,i prefer playing my zwreck with a pedal delay but spring tube reverb it's really good for the vintage sound and the sound pass in zverb tube circuity for a warm Sound.

The best reverb unit I have owned. It makes every amp I use it with sound better.

Let me just say, I'm not a big 'verb fan. However, I go through my phases and I do like "Surf". I have owned several Fender units over the years both RI and original. It's really hard to sit on an original when you never use it and they fetch a lot of cash. As for the RI, they are OK, still over priced IMO.
Now for the Z Verb, you get all the Fender Surf you could want at a great price, not to mention build quality. It's a little hard for me to part with when the GAS comes a calling. That and it matches all my other Z's.

I considered getting the matching unit for my Z-Wreck, but I'm sure there's a thread on here somewhere with people talking about hum issues when the unit was placed atop the amp head. That thread killed my GAS dead in the water.

I have no hum or noise on mine - sits atop my Galaxie. Hmmm....funny. There's a thread "Hum with Z-Verb" just below this one where two different users had hum problems and ended up having to move the unit away from the amp. At almost $1,000 plus tax, I'm weary to order one in. Id love to be able to try one.....not going to happen at my dealer, though. Keith
