1998?? That can't be 9 1/2 years ago......can it? Naw, THIS is from'98, or was it '89--or maybe '79, or '78...Looks like VA-VOOM on Felix The Cat! Yep, the Lentz HSL has the tele style bridge pickup, and the DL-90 like Billy(guitar)'s has 2 'L'-90's.

Great pic Buddy.
Thanks for the info on the Lentz, hope I'm not being a pain in the butt but I was just wondering if you knew what your front and rear pickups read? I installed a Tonerider P90 in the neck of my Tele and have a Fralin vintage stock in the bridge and I'm finding it a little hard to get used to, as they are a little unbalanced. The Fralin bridge reads 6.6k and the Tonerider P90 in the neck is 8.0 k. I'm not sure which way to go would be a better option. Taking a few winds off the P90 or selling the bridge pickup and buying a new one that is 5% overwound to get a closer match to the neck.
I don't wan't to screw around too much with the tone of the bridge as i like it and have never been really keen on overwound pickups.

THAT is a great ZZ-Top photo. Look at that stack...and I gotta squash into my corner with the bass players head stock in my cheek standing on top of my 1-12 with the air flapping my jean cuffs and hitting the back of my knees. Bring back the stage!

Me and a friend are travelling over cos there ain't no dates close and local to us. (Lancashire/Manchester).
I'm sure it'll be worth the trip. Loving the music on his myspace site - just ordering the CD. ;D

Hey Bud - I know this is an old thread but what's the doohickey on the top left of your amp, the purple pedal? Also looks to be a 1X12 cab...is it? Do you remember what speaker it had in it? Great tone and playing!

That's an original Tim Jauernig Luxury Drive, and you are correct, an old style 19X19 1x12 Z cab, wish I had anuthern' jes' like it, its a perfect match for my ol' Studio Deluxe 38, and the ghia head. The speaker is a Celestion G12H100, still use it every night when I'm overseas. Rubs just a little! Still use the Luxury Drive occasionally and love it, Used it on the Gary Moore tour we did and couldn't help but notice Gary picked one up too, although manufactured by TRex since Tim sold out to 'em. I have been enjoying the LL Flying Dragon as of late.
