Will Kimbrough, who is a great guitar player with an extensive resume, has been on the two most recent Jimmy Buffett albums. The liner notes in the album recognize Will using Dr. Z amps, and Will's site says he uses a Maz Jr.
I'm not sure what Will is playing and what is Peter Mayer, Mark Knopfler, and Sonny Landreth, but among the four of them there are some great guitar parts. The album is called "Take the Weather With You."

You shouldn't have any trouble picking out Sonny' slide work. When I saw him last year, he was playing thru a Dumble OD Special and a Matchless. Absolutely jaw-dropping sounds from one guitar!

Sorry - Now that I read what I wrote before, it didn't come out clearly. You're right, Landreth is very distictive with his slide work, and anybody knows what Mark Knopfler sounds like. I was speaking in terms of gear.
I saw Sonny Landreth in New York last month, and he was using a rented backline. It was some sort of Marshall head with 2 4x12 cabs. He also had one of those Crate modeler things, not sure of the name, and he had a huge sound.
