I spotted Nash Kato form Urge Overkill using a Prescription Extra Strength at a festival in Chicago this summer. They are best known for their cover of "Girl You'll Be A Woman Soon" form the Pulp Fiction soundtrack and their hit "Sister Havana." A great, gritty power-pop sound. I heard some great tones from his humbucker equipped custom Ibanez Iceman though the spartan effects line up pictured. I think the amp actually belongs to Eddie, the other guitarist.

AWESOME!!! I LOVE UO! Great to see Nash using a Z.
What is that pedal at his foot? Obviously one is a Boss tuner...
Gonna go listen to Exit now...

good to see some love for UO!
PeachPhan, I'm pretty sure that's a Fulltone Full Drive with two of the knobs missing that Nash is using w/ the Boss tuner.
Prowler, thanks for that shot. I got to play that gold Iceman that Nash is pictured with a while ago. it's a really cool instrument from Ibanez's Japan custom shop, ridiculously fast neck and well-balanced.

I'm not familiar with their other work but "Girl You'll Be A Woman Soon" is AWESOME. That song *made* that (already great) movie for me. The way QT shot that scene around those pillars in the room with Uma dancing is my favorite scene in the whole movie. Before that I was kind of neutral-to-positive about Uma and as soon as she hits the play button on that reel-to-reel I got it. (Second favorite moment: "Get my wallet out of that bag. Which one is it?")

I simply adore and worship Uma ... from afar. I know her father, who sadly has not introduced me to her yet.
