I recently purchased the new Damnwells' album-Air Stereo. I was looking through the booklet (I still purchase albums to look through the booklet ;D) and saw a Dr. Z Prescription ES pictured. The lead singer/guitar player uses the amp. The Damnwells are a pop/rock/alt country band from Brooklyn. They are on Zoe Records (Sony). It is just good to see other types of acts using a Z. It is worth picking up the album. They have a good sound. James

Yes...I just got on to post this same thing but found this thread already started. His last name is Dezen- hence the "custom" face. But what does he use that kick-drum pedal for? I caught on to them by chance, casually listening to digital cable radio as I often do. One of their songs ("Golden Days") came on and I really perked up. Caught the name and I was even more interested (my band is The Damwell Betters) so I just picked up their two available discs. VERY nice stuff! The tones and playing are just downright pleasing to my ear. Quite lovely.

Those guys were in town recently and stopped in the shop to get their Z's serviced. An early RX ES combo, two of them actually (if i remember correctly). Very nice guys.

Their first record "Bastards of the Beat" was cut at my studio. They used my Z's.
