Played the M12 at one of our local bars last night I have converted it to the 1x10 combo with a red fang ...man it sounded great had it about five feet behind me on top of my pedalboard Jr hardcase had it set V2 B2 T12 it was loud but not overpowering had it Mic'd of course but what I liked was the lower volume kept the rest of the band down volume wise . Used my Paisley Drive and Xotic AC/RC Boost pedals and the M12 ate them up ...could not get a bad sound and with the volume turned up had great sustain ...
Fantastic Amp ...get one ;D

Cool review, I'm continually suprised by the people who are satisfied with the 1x10 format for live gigging. But I guess if your only 5 feet in front of the amp it makes sense. I had to get a Z-Best to get my M12 to sound the way I wanted. But then again I am standing about 12-20 feet away from mine.

I've been gigging mine too. Plenty of power in the majority of rooms I play. I set it up at an open mic on a large stage last weekend for other players and they were all drooling. They couldn't believe the amount of air the 1x10 moved. It certainly IS a fantastic amp!

Glad you're enjoying the amp. Your post, along with bluzman's reply, makes me wonder if I should swap the M12 for the Z-28 that is in the combo box (with RF) currently.

Congrats!!! Preaching to the choir here. The M12 is turning out to be the absolute perfect wattage and voicing for the gigs I do when paired with the WGS Blackhawk HP in a Forte 3D112. Lets me get the amp well up into its sweet spot for clean rhythms that explode when hit with OD pedals with a little level boost dialed in. It's really nice not having to use an attenuator to get the amp into this sweet range.

BTW, what did you convert to the 1x10 combo FROM? I converted from the 1x12 combo to the head to more easily pair up with the various cabs I have laying around.

LOUD, yes. I have yet to play an indoor gig with the Z-28 without the Brake Lite engaged.

This is one thing I really like about the M12 - I never struggle with being too loud, or having to use an attenuator. I can crank it all the way up and still not be too loud.
