Hey, gang....Just came across this forum off of the Weber VST board, and thought I'd chime in about what is DEFINITELY my most favorite amplifier line in my career.
My name is Jayson Chance, and I make my living in Nashville.
Over the last year, I've used my Maz Jr. 210 in Nashville studios, clubs, and on tour with artists Gretchen Wilson, Lee Greenwood, Ty Herndon and Mila Mason.
I spent 2004 as guitarist/bandleader for Gretchen Wilson, and was using my Maz Jr together with a '66 Deluxe Reverb.
I love my Jr so much, that I recently decided to sell the '66! It was a hard pill to swallow at first....LOL but my Jr. just plain kicked the Deluxe's arse. It could do everything the Deluxe could do, but yet *So Much More*.
After selling the Deluxe recently, I just placed an order for my second Z amp, a MAZ Sr. 38 combo with 2 12's.
Gives me the comfort of KILLER and consistent tone regardless of venue size. I can ues the Jr in clubs and in the studio, and can use the Sr. on big stages and outdoor-type events, and of course in the studio as well.
I'm so impressed my Mike's (Dr. Z) knowledge of amps and commitment to quality, I know I will be a Z player for life. My wife even joked with me recently that *she* should thank Z for finally having me settle on some gear for a change!! LOL
I plan to gradually incorporate a "Z Arsenal" for the various type of work I do. Looking at adding a Route 66 or Z-28 and a KT-45 down the line. At that point, I can't imagine having ANYTHING I couldn't cover, regardless of producer or artist.
Thanks again to the good Dr. for developing one HELL of a business that working players can actually *afford* and enjoy for years....
