I have a chance to buy a Mazerati from my guitar student (if I like it after trying it out a a few gigs this weekend- so far it sounds amazing). I'm wondering what a fair price to pay for it might be. I don't wanna steal it from him, or pay out the nose. Also, serial number starts with P (like P xxxx). Anyone know what 'version' Mazerati this is? Thanks in advance!

Cool thanks for reply. I forgot to say it's a 1x12 combo, so maybe $1300 based on your purchase?

And depending on the speaker. $1300.00 is pretty good, and it's not ripping off the seller, unless he has a Gold in it or something.... Then again, $1300.00 is cash in hand if someone needs it. It's a great starting point.

I think pintail sold his combo for $1,200 recently. That seems fair.

Pintail is selling another 1x12 combo right now in the BST forum for $950 or $900 without the speaker! Shweeeeeeet!

Great info everyone thanks. Forgot to mention that this one has a Blue Dog speaker in it. ALSO, will this amp accept an extension speaker along with the one in the combo, for bigger rooms? It has the 4,8 and 16 ohm outs, and the 8 is in use. I imagine I'd have to disconnect the internal speaker and connect a 2x12 yes?

You take the total resistance and chop it in half for the tap you'll use. I have a Blue Dog paired with a Silver Bell (both ceramic) in my Maz 38 combo, and both stand alone very well.
