Myles, I've purchased a used Route 66. The previous owner purchased it used...the point being, there's no way to know how old the KT66's are.
I'm going to put new KT66's in, and a matched phase inverter.
Any suggestions for the KT66's (and what bias should I tell the tech)? (what hardness of GT?) I'd kind-of like the amp to break up a bit early. Would rather not have to crank it all the way up for power tube distortion.
Thanks for your help.

The Doc likes to bias at 34-38mA using the shunt method. I prefer 30-32mA using a bias tool.
