When you refer to tubes as V1, V2 etc. Which one is which as you look at the amp from the back? I've never been told in these terms before. If you could use the RX ES as a reference, what would they be? Also do you have some suggestions of tubes for the RX ES? Right now it is stock and I think it sounds great, but I like to tweak things. I play mostly modern blues and older Rock. Allman Bros., Cream, Gov't Mule, Deep Purple, Michael Burks, Bernard Allison. I guess "harder edge" blues style tone is what I'm after. If it matters I do like to use my pedals to get there (Klon mainly for boost, Keeley Fuzz Head, Fulldrive) Thanks for your time

V1 in Z amps is the tube most close to the input jack.
RxES is V1, V2. V3
V1 = 12AX7 generally
V2 = EF86
V3 = phase inverter, generally 12AX7
Selection depends really on personal taste.
I use 12AX7Ms in V1 and V3 myself with V3 being an SAG-AX7-MPI.
