My amp bulb on my Rt 66 went out. When I unscrewed the container ring, the bulb moves around, but I am not sure the easiest way to get it out since it is recessed so far. Does it simply pop out, or do I have to pull the chassis? Thanks.

Rubber tubing works. Its just got to be wide enough diameter wiser to push onto the bulb and grab it.

Seems like more effort than it needs to be. I am afraid of breaking the bulb trying to remove it.

Push in with your thumb, then twist CCW. Bulb will pop out. Replace with a #47 type bulb, 6.3V AC.

Can't ask for a more definitive answer than that!

The same method (and the same #47 bulb) is how you change the bulb on most Fender amps as well.
