I recently purchased a used Maz 18 that, sadly, didn't have the "Z" logo on the front. I contacted Brent who was very helpful about possibly ordering a replacement, but lo and behold... the original logo was in the paperwork that came with the amp!
So the question is, does anyone have helpful advice for reattaching it?
Brent advises that Z uses GE clear silicone, so that's all well and good. How fast does it set? Should I apply pressure for x amount of time?
The logo still has a good bit of adhesive residue on the back. What would be a good way to clean that off without damaging the logo? Does it need to be cleaned off at all?
The amp panel isn't tolex, it's flame maple if that affects things at all.
Thanks in advance, Z-folks!

I lay the amp on it's back, prep the logo by removing excess dried silicone with a pocket knife, wipe with alcohol or Goo Gone, apply GE or equivalent silicone VERY sparingly to logo, position on valance, carefully press in place, clean any excess silicone that squeezes out. Lay a weight on the logo (i use a small, heavy, glass paperweight, allow to dry overnight if possible, and you're set.

Yep, that'll do it, but instead of a weight I place a piece of blue painter's tape over it to hold it in place. Carefully peal it off the next day and you're all set.

The brand of silicone is important. I've noticed over the years that some brands just suck. I've never had any luck with the cheaper silicone I get at Home Depot or Lowe's that's a couple or few dollars per tube. The GE premium stuff is much more expensive per tube but it works so much better and lasts a lot longer.

Thanks for all the help! My logo is back and the amp looks great.
I ended up cleaning off the old adhesive with a Swiss Army knife and Goo Gone, then used GE clear silicone to attach it and weighed it down with a Tubescreamer clone (it had better tone than a paperweight). There were some faint adhesive traces left on the amp, so lining it up was a cinch.
