Hello all, newbie here. I just traded for a Prescription ES (Blonde head).... The serial number is P-6302 If my research is correct, P = 2005 63= model of amp 02= production number
If this is correct, and I believe 2005 was 1st year for the ES, this head would be the 2nd one made??? Could I be this lucky, or am I wrong about this. Any insight would be great. Thanks!!

Sorry to burst your bubble, but the RX ES was released in 2004; The code for the RX is "6" not "63"; your amp was the 302 RX . But it's still a great amp And welcome to the forum!! You'll learn a lot here and meet some really great people along the way!

Thanks for correcting me... I couldn't be so lucky. But on a side note, now I won't feel so bad about cutting the back panel and installing a removable ac cord.... I wonder why that wasn't done at the factory... Any ideas?

My guess is that is the had made amps for years and saw no reason to change it. Would have been a cost associated with it without any tone benefits. As new amps came out they just incorporated the feature from the beginning. Anyone with more or different info feel free to jump in
