I am considering buying a M12 amp. I really like the feature that it was designed to be very neutral and allow your pedal's tone come through and not have the amp color it like most other amps do.
I am a big fan of Wampler pedals. I have been looking but have yet to find any demos showing how Wampler's "Amp in a box" pedals can sound through the M12.
For example, how cool would it be to play a gig and use Wampler's pedals to make it sound like you have a Marshall, a Fender Blackface, a tweed and a Soldano?
Have any of you tried the pedals I mentioned above through the M12? Do you think it sounds more true to the original amp it was designed to emulate than running it through any other amp?

I've not used the pedals you referred to, but I'll tell ya, my pedals sound different (in a good way) thru the M12 as opposed to any other amp I own.
I use a home made clean boost, a keeley comp, an Xotic BB, an Xotic AC, a Carbon Copy delay, and a Hall of Fame reverb. I used it in practice for the first time thursday night, and it sounded like someone had sprinkled a little pixie dust in all my pedals. If you're a pedal guy, you''ll really dig it.
My concern was if it was gonna have enough ooomph at loud band levels to not mush out since it was only 12 watts with a 96db Greenback speaker, because my band plays LOUD. Man, it had plenty of power and my bandmates were impressed with the tone of my pedals as well, even tho they are already full aware of those crazy red amps with the Zenith "Z" on 'em!
Buy it, you'll love it!

My #1 board is:Ego comp. / Ecstasy / Paisley / Hot Wired / Pinnacle / Sovereign / Tweed '57 / Black '65 / SLOstortion / carbon copy / chroma chorus-wet reverb. This is the best tone I've heard from the SLO. It screams. I run it last before delay/reverb, because the variable boost side of the SLO is such a great pedal all on it's own. What you describe, having a Wampler for each amp tone - was exactly what I had in mind when I ordered. Nice that it works so well this way. The active tone controls, and the hi/lo switch are great for matching the pedal to the amp. But the M12 is also very nice going straight in, with no pedals. Works with many different guitar / pickup combinations. Different speakers can give you even more choices. I think I really like this amp, thanks Doc - it's another knockout...
