I use the KT as my do-all amp. The remedy isn't as versatile, imo. I don't have an AC30, or much experience with one, but I have a Stingray which was described to me by the guys at Wilcuts as 'The best AC30 you've ever heard' so I'll use my experience with it to put my 2 cents in.
The KT can't be described as bright (really, I guess it depends on the speakers) as much as warm. To me, the KT has the most beautiful cleans I've ever heard. Like pouring molten glass. Smooth, warm, and articulate. But throw a boost pedal in front and it will get dirty. I posted a video of my KT and a Draconis playing The Ocean in this thread. ztalk.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=kt&action=display&thread=32031
So I have to say the KT, but it's my favorite Z amp, so I'm biased. (fixed biased ;D)

^^ I like Shannon's description of the KT-45 (I don' t own one, but I've played a couple and have been mezmorized by them). And for that matter, I also like "the guys at Wilcutt"'s description of the StangRay.
