These day's most of the differences between rock and country are minimal-- A pickup truck, a couple of belt buckles, and three days more without shaving. If Keith Urban can do it... Boy, you hit that nail on the head. While I AM an Urban fan, I hesitate to call him "country"... it's all just marketing at this point. If he's country, so is Richard Marx & Rick Springfield, know what I mean? Do we really have music genres anymore? (not that I'm complaining- I prefer to view music as "good" or "mediocre/bad"); who needs 75 different music charts anyways? Oh yeah... the RECORD COMPANIES for their MARKETING MACHINE... sorry I digressed...

I'm not bashing his 80's stuff...that's from a different generation than I and it's not my taste so I leave it alone. But the new stuff bugs me, especially since they can't stop playing it on my local classic rock station (I have bones to pick with them). And I think we all can agree, "This Left Feels Right" was a disaster lol.

And I think we all can agree, "This Left Feels Right" was a disaster lol. ;D I consider myself a die-hard Bon Jovi fan, and even I can't listen to that crap. That falls into my category of "bad" music. But it's still better than rap will ever be Seriously, if you are at all interested in Sambora's playing, check out his 2 solo records, especially the first one, "Stranger In This Town" ...Very very good stuff. He was playing all vintage gear at that time, and you can hear that in his tones & playing, almost like it was a conscious departure from the Bon Jovi machine.
