I ordered my 1x12 Stang Ray combo (Red), on 2/22 and it finally came in a week ago. I cannot wait until I have this amp in my possession!! I will post pics/videos after I play it for a while. I am going to order a road case for it since I will primarily be using it for gigs. I am also going to buy all new pedals to go along with it, plus a new custom built pedalboard. If anyone has any suggestions as to what pedals I should get, I'd appreciate it. I am going to buy the TC Electronic Hall of Fame reverb and some kind of delay pedal. As for distortion, possibly BB Preamp, Zen Drive, or Paisley Drive. I am counting down the days Jason

Congrats, are you playing primarily single coil or humbucker guitars? I have 3 boosts/OD's on my pedal board, they all work well with the 'Ray.

kc, I'm playing a valley arts Brent mason Tele. It has a mini humbucker in the bridge and two single coils. What kind of boosts do you have?

Congratulations on your new Ray. I've a few pedals on my board, I think they all sound good with the Ray. My experience with various pedals is limited but I do depend on them heavily playing in a top 40 rock cover band. My OD's are xotic BB preamp and Zvex Box of Rock. For me, the BOR does not work with fender'ish amps but works great with the Ray - even with the BOR's heavy bottom end. I love it for boost and crunch. My fav is the BB. The ray also sounds good with my Fulldrive II mosfet. For reverb I like the Holy Grail, Roommate and Mr Springy, obviously I'm not that picky. Others may disagree but any pedal I throw in front of the ray works well with a bit of effect tweaking. That said, my pedal experience is limited as I've only tried a handful of pedals. I also run a crybaby q wah and use the roommate for chorus and reverb. And a line 6 dl4 for delay.
One of the coolest things I like about the ray is it's ability to take on a different feel and sound with different speakers. Alnico speakers for country, country rock, blues. Ceramic speakers for rock. You can run your combo with a 1x12 closed back cab for a good mix. IMHO the Ray is a fierce rock amp with the right speaker, the volume control past noon and an OD pedal.

Hang in there Jason, you're going to be in Z heaven soon. I just tried out my effects loop again, usually I go straight in. But I tried my Analog Echo, and a chorus pedal. Fantastic amp. P90's / mini-hums - singles or humbuggers, it rocks... cheers/tom
