Hey guys, Just picked up a used 25th Ann. Mini head up here. Been playing with it for the past week now, have changed out for a new JJ EL84, as well as a new JJ 12AX7. When I first got it it definitely sounded a bit dead, and like a pillow was covering it. When I changed out the tubes it did help, but it still sounds a bit thick. I am playing through a Celestion Blue so I should be able to achieve plenty of top end, but I'm having a bit of a hard time with it.
Is this something any of you guys have experienced before? Any ideas what might rectify the issue or is this just a nature of the beast?
Thanks! -Tim

Strange usually people say they are too bright or harsh first time. What kind of guitar? Could try to clean the input with deoxit.
