Well I made the decision a few months ago that I was going to sell my Red 2x10 Galaxie combo just because I had not played it much in the last 18 months or so....then I was working up some pairings of guitars and amps for the studio this week and played that baby with my new Lentz T. Wow, sounds great! Tweed thickness with some percussive punch - will be using that pairing on 2 or 3 tracks on the CD. The Galaxie has something that my $3k Tone-King Metropolitan just doesn't pull off it holding together the bottom and with note definition and harmonics. The Tone-King does a nice job of having both BF tones and Tweed Tones in a channel switching amp, nice reverb (set at different levels between the 2 channels) - but still it doesn't compare to a Z. CD will be released in late April.

Glad to hear that you've decided to hold-onto your Galaxie. IT's a great amp imho. And, just wondering if you've run it alongside your JAZ? And, looking forward to the upcoming album release. Cool cheers always, Joel

Joel - never have run it alongside the Jaz, that is too much weight to haul to a gig. Sounding thick and meaty. We have Greg Koch (our producer) the Fender Guitar Wizard Clinician playing my T Lentz through the Jaz on a track! Finishing my overdubs next week, real excited about it...might even sneak Greg in on another tune.
