In earlier threads I started, it was recommended to me to look at Port City Wave for a new cab. It's also rec'd to look at Avatar's cab's. These are very different, PCW has interesting technology.
Any other ideas to consider? I'm pulling the trigger on this, and I plan on getting on the phone with these guys to see if they can help with the big piece....which speakers, man? How to get my EZG to cream the way I want her to! Hopefully I should find some help from these guys, they must know how to match amps with speakers, etc?
Also, 2, 4, 8 or 16...? Not sure I know what all those output jacks in back are really for and how to look at them when thinking about sound? Who's got insight?
Peace

There is only one cabinet maker I will buy from and that is Stoneage Custom Cabinets. John is a great guy and his cabinets sound amazing. There is a waiting list but it is well worth it. Cabinets are a very important aspect to your tone that is often overlooked. As to the ohms the EZG has 4, 8, and 16 ohm taps. If you wire two speakers in series it doubles the ohm. So two speakers 8 ohm wired in series equals 16 ohm load. If you wire two speakers in parallel it cuts the ohms in half. So two 8 ohm speakers wired in parallel equals a 4 ohm load. I personally like running two 8 ohm speakers in parallel to make a 4 ohm load for the EZG. It gives more of a Fender tone when wired in parallel like the old Fenders.
