Latest version is attached to my 2-21-12 reply in this thread.
Some of you probably have seen the tone settings chart/sheet that I maintain for the MAZ 18. I thought it might be cool to start one for the MAZ 8. Here it is, loaded with the settings, as I saw them, from Dave Baker's demo vid.
Enjoy and send along or post your settings.

^^^ Have fun, Dan. If you have an LP, give Dave Baker's LP settings a try. I was stunned at how good 8 watts can sound

ok Mike...I've been going through this thing everyday since I got it.....one week today and this is my favorite so far in Pentode mode : Volume 12pm, Treble 9am, Middle 12, Bass 2, Reverb 0ff, Cut 3, Master 12. This set up seems to give me the fattest tone with my Tele...and the most balanced boost when the footswitch is stomped. Nice clean sound with guitar volume backed off to about 8, then great crunch when I roll it up to 10...then screaming lead tone with footswitch engaged. ;D The Les Paul is even fatter still! Give that a try.

Will give those a try, Mark. Pentode or Triode?
They're headed for the tone chart. Do you want to name this setting?

I had some unsupervised time today ;D SWMBO outta the house and i got to crank it up with some of the settings. I do like pentode mode best but there's an awful lot of tones in here! The Z amps are still new to me so this chart really helps me dial in the good sounds you guys already have. Thanks for that! My neighbors been on the scene here for a while & I'll bet he'll want to join the z club after he hears this thang.

I haven't definitively chosen "my" tone yet but I think that it sounds best with the master at 1pm or higher as that lets the amp breathe better. All my good tones, including my almost clean ones, have the master up above noon.
I get really great tones with the bridge pickup (humbuckers and single coil) on Triode mode and generally prefer the Pentode mode for the neck and mixed pickups to keep the definition of the notes better.
The sustain and harmonics I get with the Blue speaker are just fantastic. No need for reverb - the notes continue for minutes anyway...

Hey Doc, do we have an updated tone settings sheet? I haven't updated it. I've not noticed a lot of tone settings ideas, but that may be my oversight.
