I'm curious as well....I have a 1993 SG Standard but don't have a Perscription Jr but would like to pick one up. I will say that it sounds great through my Maz 18 Jr.

I have the RxJr with both 1x12 and 2x10 cabs in a mini stack. I also have a '61 Reissue SG - a very sweet axe! They go together like Clapton at Winterland, 1968. That's how good the combination can sound. If I want that Plexi-type saturated sound I dime all the controls and use the volume knob to control it, like Clapton used to do. I think it sounds terrific.

btw... what do you mean by dime? or did you mean dim? Sorry! "Dime" as in 10 cents, as in the number 10, as in the controls are all set on 10. To "dime" the volume means to crank it all the way to 10. Except that my amp goes to 11. ;D

I should add that the sound you end up with depends in HUGE part on the pickups you have installed in that SG. Mine came with '57 Classics, which are ok, but I plan to install a pair of WCR Crossroads which will make a huge difference. So if your stock pickups aren't the highest quality then "your mileage may vary," perhaps significantly.

Oh @ Che.... I tried those settings. i think you're right about the pickups. it may also have been the room i was in or some combination of factors but there weren't any highs that were accentuated. i did find a setting I was really happy with and figured I'd share it with you like you did for me.
(all numbers relative to panel markers)
(High input w/ & w/o Overdose) Vol: 6 Treble:8 Middle:5 (noon) Bass: 2
I got a really good tone from that. clear and articulate highs, smooth tight lows, and just enough mids to blend it all together. Very crunchy and touch sensitive.
I also had to break out the marshall 1960 with it too. twas glory... I couldn't help but wonder what it would have been like if I'd have had the Rx ES or Remedy instead of the Rx Jr.
Happy playing hope you like these settings.
