So, we have Lesters galore, and Teles all over the place, but where's the love for the mighty Strat?? I know some beauts have appeared in the "not Tele or LP" thread, but I feel the Strat deserves it's own space, eh? Let's see 'em ....... Here's a detail shot of my '79 Hard Tail Ash body (heavy as a log!) Owned it from new and was my first real guitar: My every day work horse of a Strat - 2008 Am Std with Hot Vintage pups. Great playing guitar, and looks lovely to my eyes anyway ;D Gone back to its original home, but never forgotten. '99 Mk 1 EC Strat "Blackie". Superb instrument and although not a Fender, this superbly hand-built Levinson was truly beautiful. I never bonded with it, but it was a magnificent instrument, and beautiful to looks at, and now lives with someone who truly appreciates it. Levinson Blade RH4 Enjoy! Pete ;D

Here's my original number one- 1988 Strat Plus that I got when she was 6 mos. old and I was a young 14. Only the pick guard is not original. Everything else is stock. Plays like a dream. The butterscotch 200? G&L is my first maple neck Strat and it's a great player and has some heft to it. Both guitars sport tremolos that are two point and to me are stable and sturdy. Funky tones abound in both guitars. They can get any sound I want save the girth LP 'bucker tone.

1995 American Standard (well, that's how it started life - pretty much a mutt now) in Sea Foam Green. I'm the only owner. Still my #1. Was my only electric for 10+ years. It's still "home" to me.

Some nice Strats there gentlemen. ;D I've always had a problem finding a strat I liked. Back in 1980 I bought a '63 strat. I tried and tried for about a year to get to grips with it, but ended up selling it. I have a Mex '50's strat that I bought about 5 or 6 years ago that I intend to upgrade with new pups etc at some time in the future. I really want to get a strat I can live with......I'll get there eventually. ;D

Here are a couple: 1976 Custom Color Black (yea, I know, what is custom about black?) My 2001 SRV Strat (in the center of the Holy Trinity - Tele, Strat and LP) Somehow I don't have a pic of my #1 Strat - a "2003 "Blackie". Hmmm - where did that go???

I just LOVE the pic guard and the PURPLE finish. What material was the pic guard made from? I have no idea to be honest - regular pick guard plastic I think, but it was translucent gold and very beautiful! Our band's other guitarist/keyboardist plays a very funky bright blue model and loves his.

Hey Steve - I think they forgot to paint your Rory Strat. I'd be willing to take it of your hands for a couple hundred bucks (generous soul that I am!). P.s. - I did pick up a Rory Hawk off e-bay this week - 60% of Flynn's price.

Nothing fancy, just a 60th Anniversary MIM Strat. Stock except for strap locks and 5 springs in the trem, but it has one of the best necks I've ever played. Soon to get the treble bleed and master vol/master tone/blend wiring treatment.

Here is a Pic Of My 1997 Custom Shop Hendrix New Rising Sun Stratocaster it was painted by former Master Builder Jason Davis at the Fender Custom Shop in Corona Ca. I got the guitar on an endorsement deal in 1997. I took the actual neck off of this one it was maple and built my white Hendrix Guitar with that neck and put this rosewood neck on it and did the reverse logo's on both necks myself but anyway here is a pic..
