I have an RXJr 112 combo and I am interested in converting it to a head. is this possible? I'm pretty sure the face plate would be upside down though wouldn't it? either way... lemme knwo what your thoughts and opinions are, or if it's even possible

cool! I posted in Buy/Sell/trade and hopefully I'll get a snag. Do you know if doc will make them for you? That'd be pretty neat if he would. Thanks for your answer btw.

They do not sell new ones anymore unless it's a scratch and dent which do not come up often.
Also their not cheep, $200-300 if you can find one.
good luck rp

I did a conversion to my Maz 38 SR Reverb. Found a used cab on the buy/sell Dr Z forum that was made by Emperor ( emperortone.com/cabs/). The cab was fabricated so the panel was not upside down. Looks and runs just fine.. Good Luck..

You're very welcome, I dabble in the art of wood as well. Are those solid or veneer? Cabs are all solid, a lot of my valances are veneer I make myself so I can stretch some of the beautiful woods I use as far as possible, even then the wood is 3/16 thick

Mike my veneer is 3/16 thick glued to a 1/2 thick piece of hardwood to make a little less than 3/4 thick valance..

that's cool.. I'd really like to stick with a factory cab though. Maybe doc will send me a new face plate. otherwise I'll get some pick-guard material and screen print my own. wouldn't be hard at all. I'd just have to find the right ink. If all else fails make a vinyl sticker.

I'm curious about the faceplates as well. I have a head I'm thinking about converting to a combo.

What color is your head cab? If it's what I'm looking for I'd be willing to trade. I'm down with anything other than black. I'll trade you the combo cab itself (with faceplate if I can get it off in one piece). Speaker not included. P.M. if interested.

I think I'd rather keep the head so I can return to original if needed. It is a 20th anniversary badge so I'd rather keep intact.
