Yes, I've been lurkin' in areas outside of the Ghia, Galaxie, REmedy and Z-28 .... With that in mind: Route 66 w/ Z 210 cab .... tell me a lil' bit about your experience(s) with Gibson dual-bucker guitars i.e. LP, SG, ES .... cleans thru to means .... minimal effects 'tween guitar and amp ...... just curious, that's all .... cheers always, Joel

210 or 410 open back, bucker guitar is just about the sweetest sound going. More classic rock, less aggressive than the Zbest. The z best makes the sound more "modern" You've heard wheels of fire? Roll back the tone control just a touch on the neck and you're there. Switch it back to the bridge, volume 7, tone on 4 or 5, its Fire and Water. Turn the tone and volume up to 10 on the bridge and you've got all the old Angus Young sounds. Its just about the baddest classic marshall tone going. Not the crunchy bright sound of the Rem, more fat, honky and fuzzy around the edges.

Well if you ever come out this way, you're more than welcome to try mine. I don't have my 210 anymore, but I think you have one?

Will let ya know if I get out to that part of the province any-time soon. In the mean-time, I've managed to acquire a '66 for a coupla days ..... been runnin' thru the 210 cab ...... and spendin' time with an ES-339 and an American Standard Stratocaster - no effects, just straight in. Initial reaction: I like it. Alot. I really like it. Dude! cheers always, Joel

Any verdics yet Joel on the 66 you've borrowed? Verdict: I dig the '66 in a way that has totally taken me, my ears and guitars by surprise. ;D ;D Current options: Move some gear - possibly my '28 and Ghia ... Start a '66 fund and start the waiting .... Solution: Start saving and solve a lil' bit of g.a.s. Random: I thought I was good with the four Z Amps currently in the stable .... had dreams/aspirations about the Monza, Maz 8, Z-Wreck, '45 and '50 ..... almost thought I had a fair collection of guitars going on ...... still got some Tele g.a.s. and some Gibson-y g.a.s. goin' on .... so many great amps in the line-up and so many sounds waiting to happen .... it's been a productive past coupla weeks for my playing - seeing and hearing some things I had not really considered. Most excellent ;D edit: yes, I've got a definite Z addiction .... d'oh ;D cheers always, Joel

I traded my Ghia for a Route66 earlier this year on a whim and am just loving it with my Z 210 cab. I have a new Z convertible 112 cab with a G12H30 on order that I plan to compare to the 210 as I wanted something a little less efficient. The 210 is very loud and I would like to push the amp a little harder at home. As it is, I have to keep the Brakelite on 3most of the time.
Cant say enough about the Route. Was messing with my 335 straight in last nigh tand could not put her down!
