Could some explain the master volume mod to channel 2.
I really like the presence control and would hate to give it up?

Negative on that to date. Too much rig for most venues where I play.

I have, a lot. Still do when it's not set for recording.
But....it "usually" is.

I did lots of gigging with the non master Galaxie. And used both channels... a lot. But my reverb and or delay are set very low in the signal so it does not apply to the issue you're experiencing but could see where it would be a problem for certain styles and songs. I actually liked the extra effect when my guitar is full on in Ch2. You have to take into account the style I play is far from finesse and tends to be raw and saturated with gobs of sustain. I miss my Galaxie....

Raw, saturated, with gobs of sustain...
Brought a tear to my eye.

IMHO this is an are where the Galaxie's ch2 excels. :-)

I do gig with my Gal, had the MV mod done, makes the amp usable in smaller venues, if you plan on gigging anywhere except maybe Shea Stadium, and using channel 2, you will be happy with the mod.
