I am seriously considering one. Wish someone had clips from Z-Fest, but I never heard anything about that.
Can't wait to try one at my local Z dealer!

Your sickness is nearing completion... I dunno, Steve: no 66, KT-45, Mazerati, Rx (of any variety), EZG-50 or SRZ 65; no Ray either, but Wreck probably "good enough." (I left off MAZ 38, 6545, Delta 88 and earlier models.) DR Z invents faster than I can keep up!

Great choice Mike...I'm thinking about a blonde in the same model. Just haven't decided to go with tan or brown grill clothe.

Blonde Studio Combo with brown grille for me please - eventually! I think that would be a cracking partner to the Z28 1x10 combo ;D

I'm surprised that they went with the Blue as std. If the circuit is the same as the 18, and the G12 is the "prefered" speaker for that, why is the Blue better in an 8? Add to that the Blue's lack of bass and the small "studio" cab.....it seems weird..

Some guys don't like it - but most think it is a match made in heaven. I guess I would be the latter.

Why do you like the Blue better with the Maz? ~Joe Describing what happens with the Celestion Alnico Blue is like trying to describe the difference between plain chocolate and a chocolate truffle. You know you like one more, but how to describe why... The Alnico Blue has a sound that defies description, but some call it the "bag of glass" sound. It has a strong upper-midrange, but once it breaks in, that strong upper midrange does not sound overbearing. It sounds very sweet. The top is also pronounced, but again the tone is very sweet and musical. It is not especially strong on the bottom, but that has never bothered me, nor most others who like it. Honestly, you just have to play a fully broken in example to understand.

I know the Blue was definatly the choice when we jammed through the amp at Z Fest. But I cant remember did that one have the Tone bypass mod?

Think the bigger cabinet 1-12 will have a bigger bottom end than the Studio cab? A trade off for a lighter more compact grab and go rig in the Studio.
