;D Joe Walsh was right all along! He picked the SRZ 65 because it is all there. Every vintage crunch tone blooms. Detail in driven chords. Strat clean tones are easy as dialing back the gain & turning up the volume. Les Paul thick chunch to searing blues leads. This amp does every thing a Marshall wish it could, my search is over! Sell all your drive pedals, you will not need them! If you think about it those pedals were a compromise that could never quite get that tone that was in your/my head anyway, the SRZ does it with ease! I have just purchased this amp and had the luxury to run it through a 1972 Marshall 4 x 12 with green backs, stunning! Also the SRZ running through my Z Best produced some great tone as well. Speaking of the Z Best give this trick a try and it will thicken up the tone and give it some fucused thump. Pull the back off the cab and stuff the port with what ever your handy to fill the port, I used an old sweat shirt. Since it is not permanent you can always remove it if the results don't suit your needs. Les Paul Custom, Eric Johnson Strat, MAZ JR nr head

;D CONGRATS!!!!!The SRZ is an amp that covers alot of ground. It also sounds very tasty with a variety of mild OD's such as a Timmy or similar . I have shelved my EL 34's for the 6CA7's . To my tastes they give alot more bloom. theres not really anything that will make this amp sound bad, even the KT77's were really nice too! keep on posting

;)Hey guys thanks fore the vine. The more i play this beast more I like it. I discovered that with gain around 9:30 & volume at 10:00 with my strat I get this wonderful clean with hair on it. Not break up just some hair. I have been searching for years for this with pedals and never could quite get it. Versatility with the SRZ seems to be its forte!
Thanks K80steve

What typre of speakers and Guitars are you using? Do you have any OD boxes to try? it will easily become a 2-3 channel amp depending on setup. I run mine around Noon Gain and push with a BB or a Timmy For OD and it works great. I f I really want it to Rock Hard Ill use My Stangray for Cleans and The SRZ Raging, It sounds like Tonal Bliss through a 4x12 Greenback Cab on about 300 oclock gain and MV at 200 or better. ;D CAUTION DONOT TRY THIS INDOORS! lmaoooooo

As for the pedals the RC booster gives the SRZ some really good punch on the clean side as well as fattening up things with a nice increase in volume. The Frantone Peach fuzz creates some great clear uncompressed distortion at 9:00. Beyond 9:00 classic fuzz kicks in with out that annoying compression. The Frantone pedal really shines compared to other pedals in that it does not create the compression that every other pedal I ever tried had.
