I just bought a Z-verb and for some reason I have to have the dwell and mix wide open to get just a mild reverb effect...changed tubes but it didn't help. This is a 2011 model also. Any thoughts on what it could be would be greatly appreciated. Maybe the Doc could chime in and give me a clue as to whats going on

I need the dwell and mix wide open and there should be plenty of splash but its just mild. Its at the amp tech now and I should have it back this weekend. When I get it back I'll let you know what the problem was and see if that helps at all.

Not sure if this will help, but years ago I had a Fender Twin with onboard reverb that exhibited similar symptoms. Turned out to be a faulty resistor in the send/receive path (can't remember which side). The amp tech had a helluva time trouble-shooting it but eventually got it fixed.

HoboJ could be a bad/weak reverb tub. Call the shop tomorrow and ask for Don in repairs he'll help shoot it over the phone ( 216 475 1444 ) . If it's a faulty tub we'll get you a new one.

Turns out someone had reversed the RCA plugs into the chasis (I bought it used). The guy said he only used it a couple of hours and decided to sell it. I don't think he would have sold it if he had heard what it was suppose to sound like ;D I will tell you now, that after seeing how the Good Doc responded so fast, and offered his help, I will HIGHLY recomend his amps to everyone I can. Thanks for the replies, and thank you Dr. Z. Don guessed it right from the start.
