i've got a 98 combo, one v-30, on gh12-30 in it, some old stock RCA preamp tubes, mullard rectifier, tilt legs. Sometimes i think of selling it and to me $1300 seems like a reasonable price.
Then i play it and thoughts of selling it quickly evaporate. The wife and kiddies went to the pool yesterday so i took it out of hiding. After an hour and a half getting reaquainted all i can say is what an amazing, versitile amplifier. For a short while I had the boost on, hot channel with the vol at about 3:00 with my old explorer and a cable. Taint no marshall in the world, or about anything else i can think of, gonna touch that for pure tear your face off dynamics and tone. Ain't no club in the world going to put up with the volume either but that...is another matter. I would love to hear one go toe to toe with a Z-wreck.
